The Dark Billions & The Baptism at Bellarmine

Romans 1:21,23: because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, NKJV

I am sat in Detroit Airport as I write this NightWhisper. Already I have been the recipient of free candy distributed by personnel dressed as thieves and one eyed pirates. Cutsie little Japanese girls dressed as witches holding on to Daddy’s hand have just walked past me, as maniacal laughter echoed over the intercom. It’s Halloween here in America and this week, depending on which statistics you read, anywhere ...

An Old Skiffler’s Prayer

Keyword: REMEMBER by: Rev. Victor Robert Farrell

John 14:2-4: “In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

It was lunchtime when they started gathering under Pavilion No 2, adjacent to Hollywood beach boulevard. The hot sun had brought out the gathering snow birds from as far a field as Michigan and Quebec. Motorised scooters, pushed wheelchairs, rubber wheeled ‘Zimmer’ frames, all carried the crinkly, obese, brown skin speckled and spectacled, hat wearing, perm tinted, ‘Joe 90 in his 90’s’, rheumatoid stick people, ...

‘Decisive’ of Tunbridge Wells

Keyword: LIGHT by: Rev. Victor Robert Farrell

Matthew 9:11-13a: And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, "Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?" When Jesus heard that, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: '

I presently reside in Tunbridge Wells which has often been referred to as the ‘Spiritual home of Middle England,’ that is, the home of the presumed right wing views of middle class, mainstream, non urban white folks. In light of this, it was the satirical magazine ‘Private Eye,’ who in its playfully constructed, obsessively and excessively complaining ‘letters to the editor,’ always signed them off with mock ...

Fling Out The Old Hag Today

Keyword: CLEAN by: Rev. Victor Robert Farrell

2 Kings 9:30-33 NKJV: Now when Jehu had come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she put paint on her eyes and adorned her head, and looked through a window. Then, as Jehu entered at the gate, she said, "Is it peace, Zimri, murderer of your master?" And he looked up at the window, and said, "Who is on my side? Who?" So two or three eunuchs looked out at him. Then he said, "Throw her down."

A poor eyesighted pink-faced albino, with a head too large for his little body, the Reverend William Archibald Spooner (1844-1930) for some 60 years lectured at Oxford University in history, philosophy and divinity, eventually serving as both Dean and President. The problem with Spooner was that his tongue could not keep up with the lightening speed of his brain! A kind, hospitable, absent-minded professor, he was ...

Remembering The Hidden Rock Piles Of Redemption

Keyword: COVERED by: Rev. Victor Robert Farrell

Joshua 4:4-7: Then Joshua called the twelve men whom he had appointed from the children of Israel, one man from every tribe; and Joshua said to them: "Cross over before the ark of the Lord your God into the midst of the Jordan, and each one of you take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, that this may be a sign among you when your children ask in time to come, saying, 'What do these stones mean to you?' Then you shall answer them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord; when it crossed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. And these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever." NKJV

There is little that is more enduring than rock. In my homeland, the famous Stonehenge and many dancing rock circles are even now intriguing testimonies to ancient communities long since wiped from the face of the planet. Yet, still the testimony of speaking rocks remain for there is little that is more enduring than rock. My suspicion is, that God delights in rock more than He delights in any other non sentient ...
